This poster was for many years displayed at the home of her previous owner, who got it as a gift from the anonymous burlesque performer who appears in it. The objects at the side cryptically refer both to the particular story surrounding the poster and the rich, almost primeval symbolism of the image, as tools for accessing to a second layer of meaning.
